Behavior Data Specialist
Alexis Fortson is a Registered Behavior Technician with more than 11 years of experience supporting children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities across clinical, school, and home-based settings. She earned a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Capella University, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University, and an associate degree in Special Education from Georgia Military College.
At Yellowhammer Behavioral Consulting, Alexis provides direct behavioral support and assists with the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans. Throughout her career, she has delivered ABA therapy, collected and analyzed behavioral data, and collaborated with families and interdisciplinary teams to support meaningful client progress.
Alexis is currently pursuing a doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis and is working toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her professional interests include early intervention, communication development, and social skills training to help children build independence and positive behavior patterns.
Outside of work, Alexis enjoys making candles, exploring aromatherapy, traveling, and spending time with her witty four-year-old daughter.
