Behavioral & Psychological support

We collaborate with families to provide comprehensive, evidence-based assessment services that clarify each child’s unique strengths and challenges. Our evaluations are collaborative and data-driven, designed to answer meaningful questions about behavior, learning, and development—and to translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for home, school, and community settings.

Psycholbehavioral Assessments

Psychobehavioral assessments provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors that shape behavior and emotional functioning. These are functionally oriented evaluations, which are designed to clarify why certain behaviors occur and what environmental, psychological, or learning variables maintain them. The result is a prescriptive, evidence-based set of recommendations that guide intervention planning — whether at home, in school, or across care settings.

Each evaluation is individualized and considers behavioral, psychological, and environmental perspectives to identify the factors contributing to a child’s behavioral or emotional needs. They’re integrative by design, drawing from behavioral principles, functional analysis, and psychological screening to inform treatment planning and intervention development. Depending on the child’s presentation, assessments may include direct observation, caregiver and teacher interviews, standardized behavioral and psychological measures, trauma screening, and functional analyses to clarify how emotional, cognitive, and contextual factors interact.

Diagnostic and Specialized assessments

Diagnostic and specialized assessments provide a detailed understanding of learning, attention, and cognitive functioning. These are classification- and profile-oriented evaluations designed to clarify what is happening diagnostically or neurocognitively and how those factors influence behavior, learning, and daily functioning. They play a key role in eligibility determinations for educational and clinical services, helping to identify developmental, learning, or emotional disorders and delineate cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Each evaluation is tailored to the individual and may include measures of intellectual ability, academic achievement, attention and executive functioning, adaptive skills, and emotional or behavioral adjustment. Our goal is to move beyond diagnostic clarification alone by using assessment findings to guide practical, evidence-based recommendations for treatment, educational planning, and ongoing support across settings.

Areas of evaluation:

  • ADHD and Executive Functioning Evaluations – Assess attention, impulse control, and self-regulation to guide treatment, classroom supports, and accommodations

  • Emotional and Behavioral Assessments – Examine mood, anxiety, and related concerns to clarify diagnostic and treatment needs

  • Readiness and Transition Assessments – Evaluate school readiness and support planning for transitions between educational or developmental settings

  • Cognitive (IQ) Assessments – Measure learning potential, reasoning, and problem-solving to inform individualized supports

  • Academic Achievement Testing – Identify strengths and challenges in reading, writing, and mathematics to guide instructional planning
